Jinx

Posted : 3 months, 2 weeks ago on 7 April 2008 04:10 (A review of Jinx)

I liked this book, it was a fun read. However as a long time fan of her work, I just don't think it was up to her usual standards.

I would recommend reading her Mediator or 1-800 books instead...

The Dark Hills Divide: The Land of Elyon

Posted : 3 months, 2 weeks ago on 7 April 2008 04:07 (A review of The Dark Hills Divide: The Land of Elyon, Book 1)

I think I'm going to like this series! Not the best children's book I've ever read, but I like the heroine. She's not your normally do good girl. Alexa is sneaky and wise beyond her years.

I'll get the next one from the library.

Portrait in Death

Posted : 3 months, 2 weeks ago on 7 April 2008 03:57 (A review of Portrait in Death (In Death))

Portrait in Death is one of the best books of the series!

I love the In Death books. I,m about in the middle of the series now, and I have to admit they were becoming a little formulaic. (Not that there is anything wrong with this formula, but the last book Purity in Death was a little disappointing.)

However, this book was a wonderful change of pace. To be honest the mystery/case is not important to me in this book. There is some real character development in here and it's all about Roarke! He learns something new that changes his perception of his past and he doesn't handle it well. Like Eve says in the book - it was nice to see him "screw up now and again."

RURUTIA - R

Posted : 3 months, 3 weeks ago on 4 April 2008 05:06 (A review of R)

RURUTIA's first album!

Tracklist
1. Elements
2. Chie no Mi (Fruit of Wisdom)
3. Itoshigo yo (Beloved Child)
4. Lost Butterfly
5. Akai Rousoku (Red Candle)
6. Ame no Hate (The end of the rain)
7. Boku no Uchuu Kimi no Umi (My cosmos, Your sea)
8. Bokura no Hakoniwa (Our Miniature Garden)
9. Gin no Honoo (Silver Flame)
10. Heartdance

I know it sounds a little cheesy, but I find RURUTIA's music almost magical. Her vocals are beautiful almost haunting...

My favorite track on this album is Lost Butterfly.

Bleach Vol 1

Posted : 3 months, 3 weeks ago on 2 April 2008 01:58 (A review of Bleach: Volume 01 (Strawberry and The Soul Reapers))

Ichigo is a boy that sees ghost. One night he meets a girl that changes his world...

This is a great book and I highly recommend it! It has great action, humor and characters. Bleach is one of those series where a reader can find something to like every character. Ichigo is the hero, but he is supported by many people.

About me

I like stuff! I work only to acquire more stuff.

I have weird tastes. While I love anime and manga, I also love a good English cosy mystery! I dislike "chick flicks" and dramas but love a good action or martial arts film. I also spend way to much time on WOW!

I also want to try my hand at reviewing. I have a hard time expressing myself (intelligently) with the written word but I guess I can only improve with practice...

About my collections

All my items where lost in the database crash. It's going to take me awhile to re-add everything back in! [Completed Sections: Anime, Graphic Novels]

Er... yeah... Sorry about that. If you haven't noticed already I'm a bit of a scatter brain so while I meant to put comment I sorta subconsciously put vote.
You really didn't need to feel obligated to vote. But thanks anyways (again!)
I really shouldn't try multi-tasking in the future. Hahaha....

Haha, even I myself haven't even seen some of them. I've only seen 6.5 of them... half of the ones on the list, and I made it! Now that's sad.

Thanks for the vote! And it seems that you joined Listal recently so welcome to Listal, hope you have fun listing stuff!
